FAQ
What is Dungeons and Dragons?
Dungeons and Dragons, or D&D, is a table top roleplaying game where you create a character and take on the role of them in a story played out over multiple sessions. The story is mostly a series of encounters and situations that you are walked through by a Dungeon Master (me). This could be as simple as, can you haggle down the price of this bag of holding? But can be as dire as a fight for your life against an Owlbear. Your outcomes of the game are based on dice rolls which are modified by the character stats you chose!
Are there any benefits to D&D?
Dungeons and Dragons has a plethora of benefits both broad and specific.
-
Teamwork, Communication, Cooperation, Active Listening
-
Problem Solving, Creative Thinking
-
Simple Math and Strategy

D&D has been used for therapy! Article
In my personal experience I have found and seen D&D to be a wonderful outlet for LGBTQ+ youth to explore their sense of identity and self.
Do I need to have any experience or materials?
Regardless of what service you are interested in you will need absolutely nothing of materials or experience.
If you are completely new to the game I can teach from the ground up. And I have a plethora of supplies (Dice, Miniatures, Props, Maps) that make it so you need to purchase nothing for our services.

If you are personally interested in buying something for a player that has nothing, get them a 5th Edition Player's Handbook. Available at most book stores and online retailers.
What kind of stories can I experience?
My weekly private groups play through long form campaigns published under the 5th edition rule set. I can buy a new book or run one I already have. There are many to choose from! Want a gothic horror evil vampire experience? Want a seafaring ocean campaign? Cityscape heist/caper? Space faring? Subterranean? Want to fix up an old tavern/restaurant?

The stories that I run are ultimately up to the players. I want to run games that the players want to play. That ensures everyone is setup to have the best time they possibly can.
